Pile of notices and hand holding pencil

The Department of Justice and Regulation has remade Victoria’s suite of infringement notices using the latest design principles and methodologies to create, test and deliver user-centric notices that aim to improve the overall experience for people receiving and understanding fines.

Another key aim of the redesign is to encourage recipients to self-serve online, enabling them to deal with their outstanding matters quickly and conveniently. The notices also feature a call to action for people requiring language assistance.

The Enforcement Order Notice and Notice of Intention to Issue an Infringement Warrant will start to reach mailboxes from 8 February 2016 and will be followed by the Infringement Notice and Penalty Reminder Notice in the first half of 2016.

The department is working closely with Victoria Police to ensure the notices provide clear information about the offence and how to deal with it.

The project will allow people to gain a better understanding of the infringement system in Victoria and how to deal with their fine before it escalates.
